Great vibe and good food and service and awesome jazz band

We went whilst on holiday last Tuesday and are still raving about the experience to anyone that will listen! We are a British couple and had an absolute ball. At $5 a ticket, it's an absolute steal. Would happily pay more!! Laughed until it hurt and the location was cute and intimate. We had dinner before hand and the food was to die for. All the staff were great, especially our server Graham, and they really added to whole evening. If we lived closer, it would be a weekly outing for sure!

The food and drinks were great, as was the service. I know comedians rotate but we never stopped laughing the entire night. I haven't been to the city a lot, but I loved that the comedy club was downstairs and a beautiful bar was upstairs.

The Stand is back and better than ever.The Stand has always been amongst one of the best comedy clubs in the country, but now, The Stand is an awesome restaurant too!The restaurant menu is simple but delicious, with a few delectable pub classics to choose from. My girlfriend and I both got burgers and onion rings and we were blown away by how great everything tasted. I guess we were a little prejudice against comedy club food from some previous experiences but... just eat here. You won’t be disappointed.The club itself is top notch. The downstairs room is clean and spacious (you aren’t on top of everyone,) and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house to see some of the best comics in NYC. Can’t comment on the other room because I haven’t seen it but I can’t see it being any different. Big fan of this place and rooting for it to stay the course of becoming NYC’s new #1 club. I’ll be back for the food, show ticket or not!

This is the most beautiful comedy club in the entire city! The food and drinks are great and the comedy is always the best! Great place to take a date or even go solo. Highly recommend.

I went to the stand with a Pulsed voucher. Not only was 3 of our meals made incorrectly, but the voucher was valid for unlimited drinks and we were cut off after have 3 rounds....The food once made correctly was ok. Will not be returning.

Cabaret style seating in very intimate setting. No heckling allowed...which is great because I went to see the comedians and not rude audience. Nice bar upstairs where the line-up hangs out before and after. Had a great time and laughed even after my face hurt...it was that good. No "stars" popped in as teased, but didn't matter: was highly entertaining.

I started going to the Stand when they were in the east village. This is an amazing reboot and new location — tasty and well done food, nice ambience (sound proofing) and great service. Interior is more “on trend” than previously rustic. Especially appreciate the Filipino influences in apps. Comedy line up is always great too. Well done!

One star easy. Ordered the trigger sliders and it was looking good but then we noticed a roach crawling along the floor. Never again. Nasty.

Big comedy fan! Everything about this place is great. From the great lineups of Comedians to the drinks and food! Throw in a amazingly friendly and professional staff and you have a great night! Wish 6 stars was an option! Really!!

Great place to see a show. Have been there twice to see the Wet Spot. Food & drinks are great, staff is friendly & attentive.

This was excellent value for money! On a Monday night they have free shows, so we booked our seats in advance of our trip. The bar area is small but the drinks are not too expensive. Once we were seated the staff were very good at coming round to take orders. A warning!! If you don't want to sit at the front, don't be first in the que to go down to be seated. And when I say the front, the tables are practically on the stage! The host was excellent and had great crowd interaction, he wasn't mean but be prepared to handle a joke! We hadn't expected so many comedians which meant there was something for all senses of humour. The only problem is the whole showcase is about 2 and half hours long with no interval so by the end I felt like I didn't appreciate the last two comedians as I was starting to lose interest a bit. Other than that I would really recommend this place for a visit.

Recommended if you are looking for a place to enjoy stand up shows

Went to see comedy on a whim, and the show was great. Comics were not well known names, but the exceeded expectations. Didn't try the food, but it looked good. Mocktails were delicious. Place has a good vibe. A little upscale, but not snooty.

Beautiful interior, love the intimate setting for the Stand Up and the bar made some glorious drinks.

We had a lot of laughs that fun night, except that the service is great, the staff very polite and qualified.

Went there for brunch. Excellent service, great atmosphere. If you're looking for comfort food and good portions, this is your spot. Jonny Cakes are really tasty. My burger was big and juicy. Haven't seen comedy here yet. Definitely want to go back for the food though. 👌🏻

Came for brunch, and it was one of the better meals I’ve had here in NYC, which is saying a lot cause I eat out often. I had the Full NYC Breakfast, which I highly recommend. It was incredible. The service was also great and the restaurant has a really solid atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

First let's talk about the food. It is very delicious. There are plenty of choices that anyone would like to try. Did you see the photo of the octopus I attached!? Ah-mazing! The pizza they have, definitely worth it. I highly recommend the old fashioned as well, they have a special recipe. The comedy they bring to this place as well, top notch. I have not laughed this hard in my life. Every time I go, it gets better. If you are ever interested in trying your own stand up, you can do that here as well. You need to ask the staff on the requirements though. This is a must visit.

Great brunch food, great customer service, and good drinks! They were very accommodating when I rented out the basement for a nonprofit fundraiser and even let me bring in a 3piece jazz band. Really great experience!

Cannot say enough good things about The Stand. Incredible place to see some great comics. All my interaction with the staff was so pleasant. Looking forward to coming back here, it'll be there for a long time I'm sure!

What a great place - the food was amazing and the staff was attentive and kind!! The comedy was so so good and the set up of the room downstairs was one of the best comedy set ups i have ever been too!!! Get the pizzas and the s'more dessert!

First I have to say I don't post many reviews. Many places in NYC are outstanding and I enjoy them. However I was extremely impressed with The Stand. We were going to a comedy club and found the food worthy of a Michelin star. We had Charley as our waiter and he was outstanding. All the staff from the Hostess to the busboys were. Then when the food came out. Wow!!!!. Chef Harold Villarosa's food was amazing. I love steak and have been to most steak houses in NY. I would never expect that quality and taste at a comedy club. What an amazing night. Oh and the comics are funny also!!!

Wonderful place! The staff is great and the space to see the shows is nice and small so you can interact with the comics. A lot of them stay and hang out after so you get the chance to meet and talk to them.

I can only speak to the brunch which is always a good time. I've been back twice now. The time limit is VERY flexible and the servers are impressively attentive to near-empty glasses. The cookie dough pancakes are INCREDIBLE and I can also speak to how delicious the burger is. A guaranteed great experience at a dive-vibe venue.

Stop by The Stand if you have a chance. The food is great, I recommend the spicy sausage pizza. The drinks are great. The staff is friendly. I get hungry just thinking about it.

I thought the food was really good. My bf wasn’t happy with his portion size but I thought it was fine. We went for brunch and we never had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. The server was very attentive and really nice. Plan to come back and try the pizza ! I took a star away because they had banana chips on the French toast. I don’t know who thought that was a good idea but they need to invest in real bananas or change the menu to reflect that.

First time to this comedy club, but we had a great time. Very modern space with wonderful snacks and artsy drinks. Will definitely be back!

Menu: American, Indian, seafood & Italian choices. Priced to accommodate ANY wallet. Wait staff attentive. Cozy dining. ALL comedians were funny. They were arranged "progressively better". Decent drinks average NY prices.

The Stand is such an amazing surprise for a NYC comedy club! Great food and cocktails, somewhere I would come even without a show. But they host the best comics and it’s one of my new go-to spots for any occasion!

I loved the older spot but the new lives up to the hype. The staff is was also extremely supportive to the customer's experience. I highly recommend this as a place to feed your belly and a place to feed your mind.

The brunch here was BOMB!!! I had the ‘Full NYC Breakfast’ it was one of the best brunch plate of food I’ve had! 10/10 would recommend! The bottomless mimosas were just perfect! Our server was super welcoming and very friendly! Such a great experience overall!

Surprisingly great food and drinks, no need to come just for the comedy. Not a fan of most crab dips, but friends wanted it - turned out to be refreshingly not your average crab dip. Friendly staff is a bonus.

Great place to eat. The Stand burger was delicious. The fries are very tasty. The server we had was really funny and helpful. Can't go wrong here.

We loved the show downstairs and laughed a lot! The dinner in the restaurant above was not as good as expected unfortunately.

Tried this place yesterday for brunch after hearing rave reviews from friends. The food was amazing and the staff was attentive and courteous the entire time. The manager Christos was outstanding and is truly an asset to this establishment. If you're not a fan of buffet style brunch, then definitely try this out, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. They have great shows and they're very affordable. They recently opened a restaurant at their new location and the food looks amazing. I definitely recommend coming to this comedy club, it's one of my favorites in NYC
